Ephesus-Pamukkale is a great tour and one of the highlights of any visit to Turkey. If you like to book Private Ephesus – Pamukkale Tour from Fethiye Olu Deniz, you can get in touch with us. We pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and take you firstly to Ephesus. On the way to Ephesus first we will stop to have our breakfast and then carry on our journey. During the journey our guide will give you the itinerary first and information about the trip. When we arrive at historical Ephesus City we will explore the site with our guide. Here you can see ancient relics such as the house that Mary Magdelene spent her last years in, the public library, the remains of the ancient Roman baths and toilets (yes – the Romans had toilets with running water!) There is a huge ampitheatre to explore and you can climb up and sit to take in the views or take photographs or videos. After visiting Ephesus ancient city we will go for lunch and then visit the pottery and ceramic work shop where you can buy some gifts if you wish, and then we carry on our journey to our hotel at Pamukkale. When we arrive at the Pamukkale (Cotton Castle) you can check-in and relax.
On the next day we will visit the Pamukkale travertines or white Cotton castle terraces and swim in the Cleopatra’s pool ( extra ). After exploring the city, we will take our lunch and visit a local carpet weaving center., where you will see the production of the carpets right through from seeing the silk being produced from silk worm cocoons and the old Turkish ladies dyeing and spinning the wool to make the carpets. You can also see the Turkish women weaving the carpets by hand. Here also you will be shown a variety of Turkish traditional carpets made from silk and wool and will be able to place an order to purchase one of these authentic certified hand made carpets and have them shipped back to your home at no extra cost. Afterwards we will drive back to our hotel. On the way back we will get a comfort break. This two day excursion is well worth doing – full of Turkish history and sights to be seen nowhere else on earth.
